Work Description:
The Pre-Sales Consultant is responsible for working with potential customers in the Consumer Goods and Retail industries to discover business needs, and to develop and present company software solutions to address these needs.
* Works closely with the customer in discovery sessions and ongoing follow-up discussions to ensure clear and concise communication is taking place
* Identify prospective clients' business solution requirements
* In collaboration with Account Executives, present product functionality and benefits to prospective clients
* Adapt presentations and demonstrations to address prospect’s specific business needs
* Demonstrate how proposed solution adds substantial value by replacing the prospect’s current business systems environment
* Create and present value propositions to prospects from implementing our solutions.
* Provide product expertise in support of all sales cycle activities (trade shows, focus groups, discovery, qualification, RFI and RFP responses, solution demonstrations, conference room pilot and on-going Q&A)
* Provide information and strategic insight to clients and prospects on designated solutions within the Company Portfolio, including current and future capabilities
* Assist in maintaining product demonstration environments and configuring demonstration data and scenarios as required in a sales cycle
* Serve as the liaison between the client and implementation team to facilitate successful project implementations
* Work in partnership with Implementation team to present additional solutions to current clients to solve their business needs

Qualifications and Requirements for this Sales, Marketing position:
- 5+ years of pre-sales experience supporting software sales into the Consumer Goods and Retail Industries.
- 5+ years hands on experience in Consumer Goods or Retail
- Experience in supply chain management and/or pricing & promotions a plus
- Experience developing and delivering presentations
- Experience writing RFIs and RFPs
- Superior communication, presentation and demonstration skills
- Strong creative and analytical skills
- Proven ability to work in multi-functional teams, network effectively
- Demonstrable leadership skills and ability to rapidly establish credibility in any client or prospective client engagement
- Ability to travel
