Work Description:
We have part-time local and/or telecommute opportunities for health occupations teachers. This is an excellent opportunity to supplement your income while helping to shape a new curriculum for medical office assistants.
The amount of hours we can offer is based on the project requirements and the consultant’s area of expertise (i.e. medical front office, insurance, coding, etc). We are flexible regarding the amount and frequency of hours contracted. The pay rate is $25/hr for hours worked as a 1099 (contractor).
Ideal candidates for this position will have:
* A strong work ethic and sense of integrity for successful telecommuting
* At least 2 years teaching experience with a curriculum that includes medical office and/or front office skills.
* Some recent professional experience in a medical office.
* A home computer with Window XP or later version and access to the Internet and an e-mail account
Typical tasks for a consultant include:
* Receive e-mail send e-mail with attachments
* Review documents and/or a screen captures of content
* Record comments electronically (prefer MS Word or Excel)
* Participate in scheduled phone calls to provide input. We'll schedule calls around your teaching (ie evenings ok).
